As of Oct 2026 there has been no East Asian war. There are ongoing China-Japan frictions (Japanese jet scrambles, Senkaku coast guard incidents) and North Korean missile launches, but no conflict involving Japan or South Korea has broken out.

Israel attacked Iran on 13 June 2025 and the US joined with strikes on 22 June 2025, then a joint war began 28 Feb 2026. That part happened. It has not become World War III: Russia and China have stayed out of direct combat.
